Our Story
Hi, I’m Hayden Turner, Principal Broker at Soho Financial.
For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for helping people and had always wanted a career where I could passionately do that.
After finishing high-school I explored many jobs, looking for one that was the right fit. I tried teaching and lots of sales roles but none seemed to be quite right.
In the meantime, I uncovered a passion for personal finance. I realised that there was a better way to do finances, a path less travelled. I discovered that there were small actions that families could take to leverage, protect and elevate their financial positions with less effort than they perceived (spoiler - we show our clients this).
I quickly became consumed by this idea and decided to pursue a degree in business, majoring in financial planning.
Sometime during my degree, my wife Jasmine and I purchased our first home in the North East of Adelaide.
It was during this transaction, with our broker (who was great and is still a friend of ours), that I became infatuated with the financing process and helping people get into home ownership.
Shortly after this, I pursued a career as a mortgage broker, continued my degree online, and expanded our property portfolio.
Since then, I’ve helped hundreds and hundreds of people into home ownership and investment portfolio expansion and have even helped mentor other brokers to do the same.
As a broker, I am driven to help more and more people and humbly realised that the best way to do this was to step out on my own to have complete control over the process.
As a result, Soho Financial uses tested processes and a suite of technology to deliver our clients the experience that they deserve.
We want to partner with our clients to make their finance journey as seamless as possible.
For us, this isn’t a transaction but a long-term relationship.
